Associate Professor in Medical-Surgical Nursing

Position Title:*Associate Professor

Overview

Key Responsibilities

Teaching:

- Deliver high-quality lectures, seminars, and practical sessions in Medical-Surgical Nursing.
- Develop and update curriculum materials and course content to reflect current trends and advancements in medical-surgical nursing.
- Supervise and mentor students during clinical placements, ensuring they meet learning objectives and gain practical experience.
- Evaluate and assess students’ performance through exams, assignments, and clinical assessments.

**Research**:

- Conduct original research in the field of medical-surgical nursing and publish findings in reputable journals.
- Seek external funding for research projects and collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary research initiatives.
- Supervise and guide undergraduate research projects and theses.

Service:

- Participate actively in departmental and institutional committees, contributing to the development and implementation of academic policies.
- Engage in community outreach programs and professional organizations to promote the nursing profession.
- Provide academic advising and career guidance to students.

Qualifications and Experience
- A doctoral degree (Ph.D.) OR **Master of Science **in Nursing or a related field with a focus on Medical-Surgical Nursing.
- A valid nursing license and current registration with the appropriate nursing council.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in teaching at the undergraduate level, preferably in a BSc Nursing program.
- A strong record of scholarly research and publications in medical-surgical nursing.
- Demonstrated expertise in innovative teaching methods, including the use of technology in education.
