Podiatric Technician

**Patient Assistance**:

- Assist patients in preparing for examinations and treatments.
- Record and update patients' medical history and personal information.
- **Instrument Preparation**:

- Sterilize and prepare medical instruments for use during examinations and procedures.
- Ensure that all equipment and instruments are in proper working order.
- **Basic Patient Care**:

- Instruct patients on proper foot care and hygiene.
- Assist with basic wound care, dressing changes, and removal of sutures or staples.
- **Foot Assessment**:

- Assist in the assessment of patients' foot conditions.
- Take and record patients' vital signs as needed.
- **Orthopedic Device Assistance**:

- Assist in the fitting and adjustment of orthopedic devices, such as braces or splints.
- Educate patients on the use and care of prescribed orthopedic devices.
- **Diagnostic Procedures**:

- Assist with diagnostic procedures, such as X-rays or ultrasound imaging.
- Prepare and position patients for diagnostic testing.
- **Administrative Tasks**:

- Manage and maintain patient records, including billing and coding procedures.
- Schedule appointments and handle phone inquiries.
- **Communication**:

- Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals.
- Relay information between patients and the podiatrist.
- **Medical Coding and Billing**:

- Familiarity with coding procedures for medical billing purposes.
- Process insurance claims and handle related paperwork.
- **Medical Ethics and Compliance**:

- Adhere to ethical standards and maintain patient confidentiality.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and policies.
- **Patient Education**:

- Educate patients on post-treatment care and follow-up instructions.
- Provide information on preventive foot care measures.

**Salary**: ₹8,284.90 - ₹40,777.69 per month
