- Purpose/Key Objectives of the Job_

The RPD LP2P is responsible to transition, build and lead the operational teams for the region, drive process excellence, transformation, and automation in order to enhance business value and improve business outcomes (cost reduction, higher process compliance and performance). (s)He collaborates with the P2P process team to drive the system developments and innovations, develops a roadmap based on justification and prioritization of initiatives which help to deliver the end-to-end ambition of the Purchase-to-Pay process to move towards top quartile market performance. The role furthermore manages the outsource partner for the respective region if applicable. This role is responsible for all entities/countries Purchase-to-Pay processes across the respective region and covers the procure to invoice and invoice to pay part combined.

To achieve the above important focus points in the role are:

- Deliver KPIs/ CPIs as per AkzoNobel strategy
- Ensure right sizing and correct knowledge in the team
- Drive continuous improvement knowledge
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives
- Drive standardization
- Work closely with the global process team on identification and definition of process improvements
- Ensure deployment of process improvements within operations
- Actively exchange best practices cross region.

KPI’s in relation to the process:

- Payment on Time (~90%)
- No intercompany differences over 7 days
- Clean balance sheet with respect to suspense accounts and goods receipt/invoice receipt
- Overdue invoices below 10%
- Responsibilities_

Strategy:

- Delivery the P2P transformation (footprint changes) as per the global strategy
- Deliver in innovation strategy based on market developments
- Lead the design and deployment of regional (EMEA) transformation initiatives, in alignment with stakeholders
- Coach transition team to move activities to internal/external SSC** **as per global design

Delivery:

- Monitor the performance of the P2P process delivery in EMEA (captive/outsourced) - KPIs/metrics/SLAs, according to the AkzoNobel targets (Focus 2 program)
- Deliver operations based on the InControl requirements
- Monitor the delivery of the outsource provider as per the contractual agreement
- Liaise with the internal/external stakeholders of P2P in EMEA (30+ countries & 5 Business units)
- Increase efficiency and effectiveness of the P2P(~10%/year efficiencies)
- Ensure control and compliance as per defined framework

Process:

- Ensures end-to-end integration of all elements of the process, functional ownership via policies, procedures, master data, controls, organizational structures and KPI’s
- Translate Purchase-to-Pay process ambitions into tangible performance and business targets
- Ensure a healthy and robust internal control and risk mindset, and ensure that controls are delivered and relevant policies are compiled to.
- Promote process excellence by driving cross functional awareness (incl. training) around End-to-End Purchase-to-Pay processes
- Drive regional process standardization and improvement
- Encourage team to close deviations and monitor all change requests are prepared; reviewed, and submitted. Approve deviation logs including classification
- Drive trainings in relation to the global standards and methodologies
- Authorize deviations from standard design and approve remediation measures
- Align performance targets, roadblocks, road map etc. with senior leadership team

People:

- Responsible for: the regional ptp team (size varies per region)
- Create high performing team through leadership, individual team development plans, effective performance management and on the job coaching
- Effective people management and coaching of TeamLeads to manage their teams, with a focus on turnover stabilization and personal and career development
- Level of Autonomy_
- Owns regional operations/performance
- Responsible for the outsource provider delivery in the respective region
- Critical stakeholder on implementation/changes of ERP solutions and P2P tooling
- Overall responsible to deliver standardization and harmonization by drive closure of process deviations
