**About Aasraa Trust**

Aasraa Trust was established in 2009 to work with society’s most underprivileged and vulnerable children from the streets and slums of Dehradun. Aasraa is not just a charity but a vehicle for empowerment through education, skills training, nutrition, healthcare and shelter homes. Starting with street level mobilization, Aasraa uses a multi-faced approach that prepares children for mainstream education and transition to higher studies and skills training.

Aasraa is certified by national Institute of Open Schooling and works with the education department of Uttarakhand to improve the quality of education at 9 government school in Dehradun. Aasraa is also implementing a Girl Education Program in four girls Inter Collages in Udham Singh Nagar, Uttarakhand. Aasraa has built shelters for orphaned, abandoned, abused and special needs children.

Aasraa started 14 years ago with 35 children and it’s now supports over 9000 children from the streets and slums across 50 project in Dehradun district.

**Job Description: STEM Tinkering Trainer**

**Job Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
**1. Curriculum Development**:Design and develop dynamic STEM curricula that align with educational standards, incorporate hands-on activities, and promote interdisciplinary learning across science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

**3. Resource Development**: Develop and curate educational resources, lesson plans, teaching aids, and digital content to support effective STEM instruction in NCERT-affiliated schools.

**4. Pedagogical Support**: Provide ongoing guidance, mentoring, and support to teachers in implementing inquiry-based learning, project-based learning, and other innovative teaching methodologies in STEM classrooms.

**5. Assessment and Evaluation**: Design assessment tools, rubrics, and evaluation criteria to measure student learning outcomes and teacher effectiveness in delivering STEM education.

**6. Instructional Delivery**: Deliver engaging and interactive lessons, labs, and projects that stimulate curiosity, encourage inquiry-based learning, and promote student engagement in STEM concepts and practices.

**7. Capacity Building**: Build the capacity of educational institutions, teacher training institutes, and educational administrators to promote excellence in STEM education through workshops, conferences, and networking events.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree or higher in a STEM-related field (e.g., biology, chemistry, physics, mathematics etc.); Master’s degree or teaching certification preferred.
- Experience in teaching, curriculum development, or teacher training, preferably in the context of NCERT-affiliated schools or educational institutions.
- Strong communication, presentation, and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences of teachers, educators, and administrators.
- Proficiency in educational technology tools, learning management systems, and digital resources for STEM education.
- Commitment to promoting inclusive, equitable, and culturally responsive STEM education practices in line with NCERT's mission and values.
- Proficiency in educational technology tools, project-based learning methodologies, and curriculum development principles relevant to STEM education.

**Salary**: ₹20,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
