**Job Description**:
Area Sales Manager (ASM) - OTC, GT, Retail Channel

ASM will be responsible for driving sales and achieving targets in the Over-the-Counter (OTC), General Trade (GT), and Retail Channel sectors.

**Responsibilities**:
Achieve Sales Targets: Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve or exceed sales targets in the assigned territory.

Channel Management: Manage both the OTC channel (Wholesale/Super Stockist) and the GT channel (Distributor and Retail).

Distribution Expansion: Identify and appoint new distributors and retailers in untapped markets to expand the product reach.

Relationship Building: Build strong relationships with existing and potential channel partners, including wholesalers, super stockists, distributors, and retailers.

Market Analysis: Conduct regular market analysis to identify market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences.

Product Promotion: Implement effective promotional activities and ensure proper visibility of products at the point of sale.

Sales Team Management: Lead and motivate the sales team to achieve individual and team targets.

Training and Development: Provide training and guidance to the sales team on product knowledge, selling techniques, and market dynamics.

Sales Forecasting: Prepare accurate sales forecasts and monitor sales performance regularly.

Reporting: Prepare and submit sales reports, market intelligence reports, and other required documentation in a timely manner.

**Requirements**:
Experience: Minimum of 3-8 years of experience in Channel Sales, preferably in the FMCG industry.

Channel Expertise: Strong knowledge and experience in OTC, GT, and Retail Channel sales.

Competitor Knowledge: Familiarity with competitor companies in the FMCG industry, such as 3M, Gala, or Food Sector brands like Maggi.

Distribution Network: Proven track record of expanding distribution networks and managing channel partners effectively.

Result Orientation: Demonstrated ability to achieve and exceed sales targets consistently.

Relationship Building: Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills to establish and maintain strong partnerships with channel partners.

Leadership Skills: Ability to lead and motivate a sales team to deliver exceptional performance.

Market Awareness: Strong market awareness and ability to analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences.

Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
