Asha Niketan - FMR India is an affiliated member of L’Arche, an International Federation of communities founded by Jean Vanier in France in 1964. In India, L’Arche is a registered Society under the name FMR India (Fellowship with
Mentally Retarded). The communities under FMR India are known as Asha Niketan (Homes of Hope) and as of today there are five communities located in Bangalore, Kolkata, Chennai, Nandi Bazar (Kerala) and Asansol (West Bengal).
These communities provide family style homes, workshops and day care centres where people with intellectual disabilities (also known as core members) are given a new lease of life.

**About the Position**:
We are seeking a _**Communications and Fund Raising Coordinator **_ to join the National Team under the leadership of the National Leader. The Communications and Fund raising Coordinator will lead and support social, digital media and content projects. He/She will establish and implement organizational growth in accordance with our strategic direction 2019-2023. The primary focus of communications and fundraising strategy is to inspire the Indian public to support our work and share our mission through community engagement, donations, sales and institutional and corporate CSR partnerships. This is an exciting new role in a small, dynamic team. It’s a unique opportunity to use your skills to contribute to sustainable change among the communities in India.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Develop and disseminate public relations materials that increase our visibility among donors, well
- wishers, friends, governments and local communities and other stakeholders and lawmakers.
- Build and maintain relationships with journalists, bloggers, investors and customer audiences that will help advance our work.
- Ensure digital marketing content aligns with our brand’s identity and message, and assist with marketing campaigns as needed.
- Prepare an annual work plan to ensure a planned, strategic approach to fundraising in order to achieve income growth in line with annually agreed targets, objectives and activities.
- Research potential donors among corporates, private foundations, trusts, and individuals to gain insight into needs, beliefs and donation habits to understand how to position our organization to them.
- Collaborate with Community Teams to write concept notes, project proposals (Narrative and financial) and ensure their timely submission, including identifying budgeted activities that can be packaged as projects.
- Undertake independent research in finding alternative resources for long-term sustainability of the organization
- Assist in planning and coordinating events meant to raise funds and coordinate activities of volunteers and interns related to event planning and execution.
- In consultation with Community Teams prepare and submit compelling donor progress reports (narrative and financial), monitoring and evaluation requirements in accordance with donor criteria and deadlines.
- To attend appropriate fundraising and marketing events.
- Other related duties as delegated by the National Leader/Team.

**Job Skills, Qualifications and Experiences**
- Bachelor’s degree
- Belief in the mission and values of FMR India (l’Arche)
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Knowledge of and experience in social media platforms
- Experience in fundraising and/or sales
- Flexible to travel around the country
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross functional teams and reporting to a variety of stakeholders.
- Experience with nonprofit organizations.
- Highly organised with good time management skills
- Quick thinker and ability to make decisions under pressure

**Salary**:Commensurate with experience and skills.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 48 per week

**Salary**: From ₹75,000.00 per month
