**Endowed Chair Professorships** have been instituted in the thrust areas of the University through generous contributions from philanthropists and industry. With a Ph.D. in a relevant area and a minimum of 15 years of teaching/research/industrial experience, the Chair professor will be a well-known and accomplished scholar and researcher in the field.

The endowment for the chair professor shall cover the following:

- Excellent compensation and benefits for the Chair Professor
- Support for hiring Research Assistants/Associates/Consultants to assist in research activities.
- Research and travel funds for conducting research, outreach, and networking.
- Student support to encourage the chair professor to mentor and support student research projects and other educational activities.
- Engagement with the public for promoting and disseminating their work.
- Computational facilities, books, and equipment for conducting research.
- The appointment will be for 3 years which is extendable on mutual agreement.
