Agronomist

We are looking for an agronomist to investigate and implement solutions for our food production and farming areas. In this role, you will examine, research, and solve problems related to crop management, output, and quality. You will also develop tailored agronomic approaches and oversee interventions on behalf of the company.

To be a successful agronomist, you should be focused on developing and promoting better farming practices. A top-notch agronomist should be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and analytical with excellent listening, communication, and problem-solving skills.

**Agronomist Responsibilities**:
1. Developing better planting, cultivation, and harvesting techniques, improving crop yield, and solving problems for clients.

2. Researching and promoting agricultural strategies to counter the effects of changes in soil, climate, weather, and pest damage.

3. Visiting fields to collect seed, plant, and soil samples.

4. Testing samples for nutritional deficiencies, diseases, or other changes.

5. Assisting with the plant sourcing, testing, and selection.

6. Keeping detailed records regarding fields, customers, crops, and samples.

7. Generating reports and presenting findings to management, or other interested parties.

8. Developing planting and irrigation schedules, budgets, and timelines.

**Agronomist Requirements**:
1. Bachelor’s degree in agronomy, agriculture, or a related field.

2. Further education and experience may be preferred.

3. Additional certifications may be required.

4. Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.

5. Ability to work outside, stand, walk, and stoop for extended periods.

6. Proficiency with computers, especially MS Office.

7. Exceptional active listening and verbal and written communication skills.

8. Strong research, decision making, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

9. Awareness of industry trends, technology, and developments.

10. Sales and presentation skills.

Pay: ₹8,751.16 - ₹25,000.00 per month
