**Introduction**
As a Service Delivery Specialist, you are the face of IBM for our customers. Your clients' success depends on your ability to understand their needs and respond to requests for new services. This role is an integral part of both account planning and delivering support strategies, working to proactively monitor problems, change processes, and handle issues to ensure our customers success.

**Your Role and Responsibilities**
As a Database administrator - Level2, you will be placed at customer location and will have to demonstrate expertise in Oracle and MySql Database. You will be involved in troubleshooting and operational maintenance of Databases. You are expected to work on Windows ,Linux and Solaris environment and familiar to work with oracle support with little or minimum support from superiors.

**Responsibilities**:

- Install, Monitor, Configure, troubleshoot and Support the Oracle Database and MySQL
- Having good knowledge to work with RMAN, ADRCI, EXPDP/IMPDP.
- Having good knowledge of Performance Tuning and troubleshooting.
- Having skill of user management and tablespace management.
- Ambitious individual who can work under their own direction towards agreed targets/goals and with creative approach to work.
- Intuitive individual with an ability to manage change and proven time management
- Proven interpersonal skills while contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
- Up-to-date technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing publications

**Required Technical and Professional Expertise**
- Minimum 2 Years of relevant Experience.
- Good knowledge of Oracle 11g and 12c architecture.
- Installation & Configuration of Oracle 11g, 12c with DR configuration on 11g, 12C DB version on Solaris/Linux/Windows OS platform.
- DR DB Drill activity
- Alert configuration
- Database RMAN & Export utility with backup & restoration with different recovery scenario.
- Knowledge of various scenarios for Solaris Cluster and windows cluster.
- Having knowledge to handle and resolve DB performance issues. Analyze the AWR/ADDM/ASH, stacks pack reports.
- Create a Plan of action for various PROD activities and execute the same as per schedule and manage end to end activity.
- DB Upgrade & Migration, GRID/DB level patching
- Take care of the Database design and implementation
- Good knowledge of MYSQL architecture.
- Knowledge on MYSQL replication Master slave and troubleshooting.
- Must have knowledge of setting MYSQL Query tuning, troubleshooting
- Must have good knowledge of Performance tuning of MYSQL databases.
- Must have good knowledge of MYSQL database up-gradation.
- Installation and configuration of MySQL on Linux and Windows.
- Understanding MYSQL Backup & Recovery and having experience in 'mysqlbackup' and 'mysqldump' will have added advantage.
- Ability to multi-task and context-switch effectively between different activities and teams.
- Good knowledge on MySQL versions ( 5.7.X and 8.0.x ) and engines such as InnoDB MyISAM.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Ability to organize and plan work independently.
- Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment.
- Good Knowledge on Linux Shell Scripting and Windows Batch Scripting.
- Setup and maintain documentation and standards
