Head of School Job Responsibilities
- Provide leadership in Early, Primary and Middle Year program curriculum areas and share expertise in areas of unit design, lesson design, and assessment and reporting practices; serve as mentor to the all-academic team.
Work closely with the Board to establish a positive, structured, achievement-oriented and creative school culture.
Represent the school at the board meeting. Be instrumental and drive required changes for implementing decisions taken during Board meeting and PLT meetings
Assist the Pedagogical Leadership Team to provide leadership in the design and review of curriculum and professional development programs for the EYP, PYP and MYP School programs
Work as on ground manager for all the Academic Coordinators in the academic work as well as in the administrative issues.
Hold discussions, suggest measures for improvement and provide the required support in achieving qualitative standards in these areas.
Acting as a resource person to Coordinators and teachers in their instructional practice, especially as it relates to issues of discipline, relationships with students, classroom management, and school culture.
Assisting teachers, students, and parents in the effective creation and implementation of individual behavior plans.
Determine and organize the curriculum keeping in mind the need, interest, aptitude and stage of development of the pupil.
Ensure management and deployment of all teaching staff by allocating duties and ensure all

staff are trained as per their needs.
Supervise and participate in appraisal of all Academic staff.
Leading staff efforts to ensure all students have excellent attendance and arrive at school on time and working aggressively with students and parents to ensure excellent attendance.
Being highly present and visible during school hours, relentlessly ensuring the school has an exceptional school culture.
Formulate and implement student leadership and development programs with the focus on the IB learner profile.
Keeping accurate student discipline records, documenting all conferences, suspensions, and phone calls for behavior.
Ensure that behavioral expectations and school culture standards are met outside of the classroom as well as inside, including establishing and monitoring bus behavior/culture as well as dining hall/meal time behavior and culture
Recommend yearly manpower requirements.
Ensure timely implementation of school process and communication within all stakeholders.
Prepare yearly training plan for all faculty.
Implement, review and recommend school policy and procedures as and when required.
Plan and execute all school event by involving all stakeholders.
Coordinate with admin and admission team to ensure functioning of all school activities.
