What does a Fabric Inspector do?

A Fabric Inspector is responsible for inspecting materials and manufactured items at various stages of production to ensure that they meet quality standards. This includes examining têxtiles, fabrics, and other materials used in the manufacture of products to check for flaws, defects and inconsistencies in colour, texture, and weave. They may also test the materials for strength, durability, and other mechanical properties. Additionally, Fabric Inspectors are responsible for recording their findings and communicating them to other members of the production team, including designers and production managers, to ensure that any issues are addressed and corrected in a timely manner.
