**Job Summary***:
The primary responsibility of this entry-level position is to assist with administering the MadCap Flare tool used by the Technical Publications team to author and deliver software product knowledge.
**Essential Functions**:
- Assist with updating the MadCap Flare projects, including, but not limited to:
- Renaming files
- Combining topics
- Adding keywords to optimize searching
- Publishing topics
- Creating and posting PDFs
- Create and manage tickets to track your work in Atlassian Jira
- Assist with other tasks related to Atlassian Jira
- Perform peer reviews of authored content
- Ensure documents are technically and mechanically accurate and consistent with clarity, flow, organization, completeness, and readability
- Ensure documents adhere to the team Styles and Standards guide
- Create procedural documentation related to processes for your position
- Analyzes existing and potential content with a focus on reuse and single-sourcing opportunities to increase efficiency
- Organizes multiple simultaneous projects and requests
- Attend team and cross-functional meetings as required
**Requirements**:
- Familiar with topic-based writing, structured authoring, and single sourcing
- Experience writing procedural materials
- Attention to detail coupled with effective analytical and problem-solving aptitude
- Willingness to research writing standards and practices
- Ability to balance and prioritize many diverse tasks at once
- Fundamental knowledge of CSS and HTML
- Knowledge of Snagit, Adobe Acrobat Pro, Flare (or similar tools)
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Self-motivator with the ability to work as part of a team or independently with little supervision or direction
- Ability to work effectively on several projects simultaneously, independently, and within groups
