**About**:
Recity is an award-winning City Resource Management organization with a focus on making 'Waste as a Resource'. We enable circular economy & reduction in carbon emission in cities by implementing end to end solid waste management city planning, supply chain management, technology implementation, capacity building, and behavior change. We support Urban Local Bodies and Corporates in implementing and sustaining ‘data and tech enabled city level solutions’ to divert Waste from landfills; reduce Air Ground Water, Soil Pollution and Ocean Plastic Litter. We do this by creating platforms where stakeholders of the city, such as - Government, City Residents, Waste Workers and Experts come together, interact and collectively problem
- solve together for the City’s holistic development. We are currently implementing an integrated Solid Waste Management project across 11 cities in India. We have been instrumental in diverting over 25000 MT from landfill and continue to divert 100 Metric Tons of waste from landfill daily, developing a positive cash flow for waste management in cities and professionalizing over 2000 waste workers across various geographies.

**Purpose**:

- Divert waste from landfill to scientific and responsible processing.
- Create inclusive, circular and sustainable business models.
- Professionalize waste workers.

**Title**:Officer - Planning & Strategy**

**Primary Responsibilities**:

- He/ She will be responsible for supporting in the planning and strategy of the outcomes under Waste worker professionalization along with the Senior Manager.
- Further responsible for ensuring the smooth implementation of outputs of Waste Worker professionalizing solution across 9 cities.

It requires learning and understanding current structure, policies within the solid waste management system of India and status of waste workers including ongoing research, data sourcing and analysis and the need to uplift the socio-economic status of waste workers. As a part of implementation, the He/ She will support the ground team with any requisites needed for the delivery. In addition, the Asst. Manager is expected to contribute his/her personal thoughts and perspective in data analysis and finding data insights from different data source available. There will be tasks ongoing with varying degrees of frequency.

**Essential Responsibilities**:
❖ Plan, schedule, manage, and monitor projects to ensure that the quality of project implementation

follows company standards.
❖ Problem definition, research, data cleaning, analysis to determine best processes and methods for
problem-solving.
❖ Prepare reports, DPRs, proposals and presentations for the WWP model.
❖ Improve and innovate operational standards and ensure that all policy and procedures are followed at
all levels and understand how different projects interlink and overlap.
❖ Extensive policy level researches to make the assigned documents/ reports /strategies.
❖ Maintain files and generate status information.

**Experience**:
❖ Full-time professional with a masters and having 1-2 years past experiences in development and social
impact sector or Full -time professional with bachelors and having 2-3 years past experiences in
development and social impact sector.
❖ Demonstrated aptitude and experience in computer skills including use and understanding of Microsoft
Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.
❖ Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment.
❖ Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills; ability to communicate clearly with
various personnel to share/ gather information.
❖ Effective time management skills to meet deadlines on multiple tasks, projects and priorities.
❖ Professional and positive attitude.

**Qualifications**:
❖ Master’s degree in a discipline like Development studies, Economics, Public policy, Social Work etc.

**Preferred Experience**:
❖ 2-3 Years in Government advisory, Development sector, Consultancy, CSR projects or allied sectors.
❖ Completed fellowships like Teach for India, Gandhi Fellowship, SBI Fellowship and other similar
experiences in the development sector
