Hybrid position: 4 days remote and 1 day in the office
Office Location: Hybrid right now-1 day a week in the office at 150 M Street NE (near Gallaudet Metro
Stop)-government could change the hybrid option at any time and require we work 40 hours in the
office.

The work on these various initiatives involves the acquisition of background knowledge of present cases, their status, any expected trial dates and reporting such information to the DOJ attorney team. Work will also involve managing the intake of discovery for new cases and setting up their case files. Duties and responsibilities will also include;
Coordinating and organizing the receipt and intake of evidence from various federal agencies, ensuring chain of custody.
Working with other federal agencies to coordinate witness hearings/meetings and document collections.
Ability to work with the DOJ ENRD IT department to image documents and return evidence in a timely manner.
Performance of document reviews as well as legal research of statutes.
Writing memorandum.
Database maintenance, use of Relativity for reviews.
Trial support.

The work on RIN Fraud cases would involve managing the multitude of cases in RIN (Renewable Identification Number) Fraud under the Energy Policy Act. The Act requires oil companies that market petroleum products in the United States to either (1) produce a given quantity of renewable fuel themselves or (2) purchase credits called renewable identification numbers (RINs) from producers of renewable fuels to satisfy their renewable fuel quota requirements. The work will involve legal research, document review/management, database management/review, case preparation, memos/presentations, trial preparation/support.

Required Qualifications:
Must be able to obtain and maintain MRPT facility credentials/authorization. Note: US Citizenship is required for MRPT facility credentials/authorization at this work location.
Must have JD.
Must have at least two to three years of progressively more responsible experience on litigation support projects including proven capabilities and communication skills to successfully interact with clients and attorneys.
Sound working knowledge of federal and state court systems, legal research procedures, and legal research resources.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Thorough knowledge of legal research tools such as LEXIS and Westlaw.
Must have hands-on familiarity with ESI tools such as Relativity and knowledge of eDiscovery procedures and resources.
Ability to travel with trial team for case and trial support.
Ability to manage multiple tasks at one time and prioritize workloads.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with trial support, setting up war rooms and in court procedures to support attorney teams.
Experience working with legal briefs and compiling exhibits.
Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision.
