IT Architect

The IT Architect is responsible for designing and implementing the IT infrastructure and systems that meet the organizations business requirements. This role requires a deep understanding of current and emerging technologies, as well as an ability to translate complex technical information into understandable language for non-technical stakeholders.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop and maintain the IT architecture roadmap that aligns with the organizations strategic goals.
- Collaborate with other IT teams, business leaders, and external vendors to gather requirements, identify opportunities, and evaluate solutions.
- Conduct research and analysis of emerging technologies to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
- Evaluate the impact of new technologies on the organizations current IT architecture and develop plans for migration if needed.
- Ensure that the IT systems and solutions are scalable, secure, and compliant with industry standards and regulations.
- Create and maintain technical documentation and standards for the IT architecture.
- Provide technical guidance and support to other IT teams and stakeholders.
- Manage and prioritize projects to ensure timely delivery of IT solutions.
- Assist in the hiring and training of IT personnel, including conducting technical interviews and mentoring new hires.

- 7 - 15 years of experience in IT architecture, design, and implementation.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise-level IT systems and solutions and security components.
- Experience with cloud computing, virtualization, and containerization technologies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other IT teams, business leaders, and external vendors.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Industry certifications, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, are preferred but not required.

**Education and Experience**:

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- A relevant Masters degree or additional certifications such as TOGAF (The Open Group Architecture Framework) can be a plus but are not always required.
- 7+ years of professional experience as an IT Architect or in a similar role.
