**Job Summary**: The IBM Db2 Database Administrator will be responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and optimization of IBM Db2 Database systems. This role involves ensuring the availability, performance, security, and integrity of the database systems to support the organization's data-related needs. Note : IBM db2 CDC replication skill set is MUST. Responsibilities: 1.
**Database Administration**: Manage and administer IBM Db2 Database systems, including installation, configuration, and maintenance. 2. Performance Tuning: Monitor and optimize database performance, ensuring efficient query execution and response times. 3.
**Security**: Implement and maintain database security measures, including access control, encryption, and auditing. 4. Backup and Recovery: Develop and execute backup and recovery strategies to safeguard data and ensure mínimal downtime in case of failures. 5.
**Data Migration**: Manage data migration activities, including data import/export and data transformation. 8. Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve database-related issues, such as performance bottlenecks, data corruption, and connectivity problems. 9.
**Documentation**: Maintain comprehensive documentation of database configurations, procedures, and policies. 10. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, system administrators, and network engineers, to ensure seamless database integration. 11.
- Proven experience as an IBM Db2 Database Administrator or in a similar role. - Proficiency in IBM Db2 Database administration, including installation, configuration, and performance tuning. - Strong SQL and scripting skills for automation and data manipulation. - Knowledge of database security best practices and encryption techniques.
- Experience with backup and recovery procedures. - Familiarity with database design and modeling concepts. - Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. - Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
