**_Roles & Responsibilities_**

**_KEY RESPONSIBILITIES_**

**_Develop Software_**
- _
- _Maintain and write code for complex systems that address project specifications and guidelines._
- _ Write programs that span multiple platforms._
- _ Offers occasional innovative ideas and products to the organization._
- _ Provide input and drives adherence to programming or development standards._
- _ Consult on environment set-up and lead project level design including data storage, middle tier and frontend._
- _ Coordinate with others on architectural standards._
- _ Consult on integration issues and determine the best integration approach._
- _
- _Accountable for architectural integrity and technical debt._ _

**_Maintain Software_**
- _
- _Reviews the code of other Software Engineers and identifies alternative development approaches for the team._
- _ Identify system requirements and recommend issues and alternatives for change. Able to report missing elements and explain the impacts on subsystems. Offers recommendations for correction._

- _Leads and makes changes in development maintenance and system standards._ _
- _

**_Build Technical Documentation_**
- _
- _Write and maintain detailed technical documentation for entire systems (made up of several subsystems) and identify integration points. _
- _Review technical specifications created by less experienced Software Engineers._ _
- _

**_Test Code_**
- _
- _Perform automated unit testing and complex debugging._
- _ Work with other team members to resolve problems or issues._
- _ Ensure appropriate testing is being completed by the team._
- _
- _Define and report quality and quantity metrics on the performance of the team._ _
- _

**_Manage Projects_**
- _
- _Serve as a Technical Lead for large, complex projects that require skill and experience in multiple technical environments and process knowledge of a specific business area._
- _ Estimate work efforts for product backlog._
- _ Drive analysis of technical feasibility and feedback on new product objectives._
- _ Partner with all stakeholders to identify potential slippage or inter-team dependencies._
- _ Scope project time and resource requirements incorporated into a singular scope document for integration points._
- _
- _Recommend resource allocations and task assignments for backlog and chartering._ _

**_EDUCATION_**
- _
- _Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering_ _
- _
**_WORK EXPERIENCE_**
- _
- _ Extensive experience developing software products for clinical environments and medical labs (preferred)_
- _ Experience Building Microservices Architecture._
- _ Ability and experience to facilitate JAD sessions or other requirements gathering processes_
- _ Experience on AWS (preferred)_
- _
- _Experience building alpha and Beta Products on cloud (preferred)_ _
- _

**_SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE_**
- _
- _ Experience with the React JavaScript library for building user interfaces_
- _ Knowledge of Modern Development and Deployment Practices including IaaS, CI/CD pipelines, TDD/BDD etc._
- _ Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships, supporting company leadership and other team members_
- _ Ability to work under pressure_
- _ Ability to manage multiple and changing priorities/tasks_
