**Job Summary**:
**Responsibilities**:
1. Manage the school library, including cataloguing, organizing, and maintaining the library collection of books, periodicals, and digital resources.

2. Assist students and teachers in locating and accessing relevant resources for research, projects, and assignments.

3. Promote reading and literacy by creating a welcoming and engaging library environment, organizing book displays, and recommending books to students based on their interests and reading levels.

4. Teach students library and research skills, including how to navigate library catalogs, databases, and other information sources.

5. Collaborate with teachers to integrate library resources and information literacy skills into the curriculum.

6. Conduct library orientation sessions for new students and provide regular library instruction to students to promote effective and ethical use of information.

7. Stay updated with current trends in educational technology and digital resources and assist students and staff in utilizing them effectively.

8. Plan and organize library events, such as book fairs, author visits, and reading challenges, to promote a culture of reading and learning.

9. Manage library budgets, including the selection and purchase of new books and resources in alignment with the school's needs and curriculum.

10. Maintain accurate records of library transactions, including circulation, inventory, and library memberships.

**Requirements**:
1. Masters's degree in Library Science (M.LIB) or a related field.

2. Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience working as a School Librarian.

3. Good communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage and assist students and staff effectively.

4. Proficiency in computer skills, including knowledge of library management systems and educational software.

5. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to manage library resources, services, and activities.

6. Knowledge of library classification systems, cataloging rules, and information retrieval techniques.

7. Familiarity with educational technology tools and resources used in libraries.

8. Passion for promoting reading, literacy, and information literacy skills among students.

9. Collaborative and customer-service-oriented approach to working with students, teachers, and parents.

10. Ability to adapt to changing technologies and library trends.

**Job Type**: Regular / Permanent

**Salary**: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
