JOB DESCRIPTION:

Introduction:

We are looking to hire an excellent python engineer who is also experienced in managing a small technical team. The person must have a product company background with exposure to complete lifecycle of product delivery. The job requires continuous interaction with US based team and other engineering team members in India. Knowledge of network engineering/Cybersecurity is a big plus.

Location:

Strictly Pune based associates. [Candidates residing in Pune – NOT people willing to move to Pune]

Responsibilities:

  • Independent ownership of multiple modules of the product.
  • Participate and contribute in the solution architecture discussions.
  • Document solution architecture, technical validation of functional requirements.
  • Performance tuning of the existing modules.
  • Code reviews and guiding the junior members of the team.
Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Good python engineer with 4-7 years hands on experience of both serverside as well as web applications.
  • Demonstrable experience of developing SPA using FastAPI or Flask for a medium to high complexity application.
  • Demonstrable experience of working in an end-to-end product lifecycle and delivering on mission critical products.
  • Must be conversant with OO concepts in Python.
  • Must be familiar with writing unit tests for python code and in overall testing of the app.
  • Experience of working in a product-based company.
  • Experience of leading a team of 2-3 developers.
  • Background in networking engineering / cybersecurity in a big plus.
  • Good Problem solving skills and ability to understand/articulate problem statements.
Database knowledge:

Good understanding of Postgres with SQLAlchemy ORM is a must.

Others:
  • RabbitMQ knowledge will be helpful.
  • Source code management and deployment knowledge
  • Good understanding of Git, GitHub actions, Docker, Docker compose is a must
Reporting To:
The role will report directly to the Backend Team Lead.
