  • Ensure continuous operation and upkeep of the LAN Infrastructure at all Sites, including all active and passive components so that the network is available 24 x7 as per the prescribed SLA
  • Create / Modify VLAN, assignment of ports to appropriate applications and segmentation of traffic
  • Monitor HTTP / HTTPS, DNS, SMTP, POP3, FTP, TCP ports, etc. to ensure network and applications are up and running
  • Troubleshoot issues in the network infrastructure of the company to determine the areas where fixes are required and ensure resolution of the same
  • Monitor and maintain a log of the performance monitoring of the network
Broad outline of the Role
  • Configure backup of the networking devices monthly
  • Add new servers / Ports in the Load Balancer
  • Maintain a list of port availability of all the networking devices
  • Periodic analysis of events and logs generated in all the sub systems and undertake actions in accordance with the results of the log analysis
  • Manage the usernames, roles and passwords of all the relevant subsystems
  • Receive functional and technical knowledge transfer from the existing Bidder during transition phase on the current network infrastructure including requirements and support methods
  • Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for maintenance of the infrastructure based on the policies provided by the Company and based on the industry best practices
Purpose - Broad objective of the role
  • Governance and periodic reporting - Prepare and publish Service Level Agreement (SLA) compliance and support performance report and conduct quarterly reviews with Company also prepare and publish weekly status reports and periodic updates on ongoing issues and risks
  • SDWAN router configuration, administration and maintenance as and when required
  • SDLAN switch configuration, administration and maintenance as and when required
  • Monitor all the WAN network devices and communication links through network monitoring tool and submit the reports as per company's requirement.
  • Should have worked on Solar Winds.
  • Monitor and test availability of switch, router and back up links once in a month.
  • Develop a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for day-to-day operation for management and monitoring of in-scope devices. SOP shall cover step by step illustrative guide with required screenshot for carrying out any operation.
  • Installation / re-installation and configuration for existing network components including router, switches and load balancer
Operating Network - Key External
  • Monitor and control configuration aspects like IP address, subnet maskIP Schematic Management including IP Inventory, IP assignment & IP records
  • Maintain and administer network elements and devices on the network tool
  • Provide selective resource access by configuring suitable access list on the Routers, Switches and other network devices
  • Configure authentication protocols that are available in Cisco IOS (like AAA)
  • Fine-tune WLAN configuration including identifying any attacks on WLAN and take necessary corrective action
  • Create secured and time-controlled guest wi-fi and review user list periodically at all locations except DC and DR and should be isolated from internal environment
  • Maintain VLANs configuration on the central switch as per original provided configurations
  • Maintain switch and router configurations to ensure redundancy on the up-links between the switches within the DC, DR and other offices and branches

  • Graduate with 8-12years of experience in Network Operations(Routers, Switches, Wireless LAN Controllerfrom Cisco, Load Balancer and all Network

Other knowledge/skills
  • Manage configuration of IP protocol on the routers and perform periodic password changes on the routers
  • Configure Access Control Lists (ACLs) or implementing other security measures to prevent unauthorized access to the network
  • Configuring user authentication through TACACS or RADIUS servers
  • Performing following activities as per Organization security policy and guidelines:
  • User creation
  • Locking and Unlocking Users
  • Deleting Users
  • Changing a Password
  • Changing Administrator Passwords
  • Checking Active Users
  • Checking User Activities
  • Disable generic user IDs
Key Responsibilities
  • Technical administration or troubleshooting to ensure the efficient functionality of the solution.
  • Incident Validation, Incident Analysis, Solution recommendation
  • Assists with the development, revision, and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures and Working Instructions
  • Act as a point of escalation for Level-1 customer service analysts
  • Coordinate with IT teams on escalations, tracking, performance issues, and outages.
  • Prepare Monthly Executive Summary Reports for managed clients and continuously improve their content and presentation.
  • Provide recommendations in tuning and optimization of systems, processes, procedures, and policies.
  • Maintain an inventory of the procedures used by the operations team and regularly evaluate the procedures and add, remove, and update the procedures as appropriate.
  • Publish weekly reports and monthly reports on customer service operations activity.
Technical Competencies
  • Report Network devices access violations
  • Access list configuration as required user authentications
  • Configure authentication protocols like PAP, CHAP, AAA. Re-certify access control list on a quarterly basis
  • Check network devices user access logs on a quarterly basis
  • Review production network device access violations and educate team members to avoid production access violations
