Job Overview

The Clinical Development Technologies (ClinTech) team focuses on current and anticipated trends in life sciences (pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, and medical devices) clinical development and the impact of those trends on the software products and platforms. The ClinTech team advice life sciences enterprises and product/platform providers on how the clinical development technology stack should evolve. From our published reports to custom decision support, ClinTech team supports clients though its fact-based data and insights to analyse and assess market trends and topical issues (such as decentralized clinical trials, EHR to EDC, increased use of analytics, etc.) and product provider capabilities.

This is an exciting industry segment, and the Senior Analyst will be expected to analyse developments in the clinical development space due to changing regulations, cutting edge technologies, and new type of therapies (e.g., cell and gene therapies). The Senior Analyst is expected to contribute to the research program by delivering high quality, original research reports and custom advisory projects. This will require the candidate to maintain an ongoing dialog with senior industry executives on key issues, as well as help answer their queries. The candidate will be required to deliver custom research engagements within the clinical development area and occasionally in other areas in life sciences.

Key responsibilities

- Identify areas of research based on industry and client needs
- Problem solving and structure work to manage deliverables and timelines
- Contribute significantly to the published research agenda of the ClinTech practice
- Lead medium sized custom research engagements
- Actively develop domain expertise across ClinTech, leveraging subject matter experts, and external sources
- Support business development efforts through proposal writing and other initiatives
- Participate proactively in external market communication by responding to analyst inquiries, conducting executive conversations, and maintaining/growing long-term client relationships

- Proficient in Microsoft office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook)

Education & Experience

- Bachelor's degree, MBA preferred (preferably from Tier-1 B-School)
- Strong understanding of the clinical development value chain (how do clinical trials work, what are the processes involved, how do CROs come into the picture, etc.) Experience or understanding of clinical development products (e.g., EDC, CTMS, eCOA, etc.) is not mandatory but is a plus
- 1 to 4 years work experience as one of the following:
- Consultant advising pharma companies on product/platform selection in clinical development
- Individual contributor with primary experience working on pharma R&D projects and advising pharma companies on clinical trial processes (e.g., process optimization / mapping, R&D digital transformation, site selection strategy, accelerating clinical development, etc.)
- Experience with pre-sales solutioning and RFP responses to pharma R&D RFPs
- Experience with primary and secondary research focused on drug pipelines, pharma R&D intelligence, clinical trial therapeutic area trends, etc.
- History of excellence in academics, personal and vocational achievements
