Control-M environment . The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in

designing, developing, and managing automated workflows , troubleshooting job failures, optimizing job performance, and leading a team of Control-M professionals.
This role requires a strong technical background in

Control-M job scheduling , API automation, scripting, system integrations, and security best practices. The Team Lead will also be responsible for mentoring junior developers, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring seamless workflow automation aligned with business needs.
Key Responsibilities
1. Team Leadership & Project Management
Lead a team of Control-M developers, ensuring efficient workflow design, job automation, and troubleshooting.
Oversee

Control-M job scheduling, monitoring, and maintenance

to ensure optimal system performance.
Coordinate with stakeholders (IT operations, database administrators, application teams) to define job automation requirements.
Drive

best practices

in job scheduling, resource optimization, and workflow automation.
Manage workload distribution and team assignments for Control-M-related projects.
2. Control-M Job Scheduling & Workflow Design
Design, develop, and implement job workflows

in Control-M based on business and operational requirements.
Create and configure job definitions, dependencies, calendars, and scheduling objects.
Optimize job workflows for performance, scalability, and resource efficiency.
Implement best practices for

job dependency management, sequential execution, and conditional logic .
3. Automation & API Integration
Utilize

Control-M Automation API (REST API)

to automate job workflows and integrate with external applications.
Develop scripts (Python, PowerShell, Bash) to automate Control-M job execution and management.
Work with Control-M

CLI commands

for job scheduling, execution, and monitoring.
Enable

third-party system integrations

(e.g., SAP, Oracle, cloud services) using Control-M plugins or custom scripts.
4. Job Monitoring, Troubleshooting & Performance Optimization
Monitor job execution, analyze logs, and troubleshoot job failures.
Implement

error-handling mechanisms , job retries, and failure notifications.
Identify performance bottlenecks and optimize job execution time and resource allocation.
Ensure timely resolution of

job failures, dependency conflicts, and scheduling issues .
5. Security, Access Control & Compliance
Enforce

role-based access control (RBAC)

to manage user permissions within Control-M.
Implement security best practices for job execution and data handling.

6. Training & Knowledge Sharing

Technical Skills
Expertise in BMC Control-M

Experience with

Control-M Automation API (REST API)

Control-M CLI commands .
Scripting proficiency

in

Python, PowerShell, and Shell (Bash/KornShell) .
