Job Overview:
The Deputy Director for Non-Teaching Staff Training at the Centre for Human Resource Development (CHRD) in Parul University will be responsible for designing, coordinating, and executing comprehensive training programs for non-teaching staff across various roles. This includes clerical staff, peons, security personnel, drivers, executives, and senior leadership such as deans, directors of cells, and institute heads within Parul University. The Deputy Director will play a vital role in driving the professional development of non-teaching staff, ensuring alignment with institutional objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategizing and Planning Training Programs:
- Conduct assessments to identify training needs across the non-teaching staff spectrum.
- Develop and implement customized training initiatives tailored to the diverse roles and experience levels of non-teaching staff.
- Ensure training programs are impactful, fostering skill enhancement and improving staff performance.
Monitoring and Evaluating Performance:
- Perform comprehensive evaluations to assess training effectiveness using feedback, performance metrics, and impact analysis.
- Design improvement plans based on evaluation insights to refine training initiatives and ensure long-term success.
- Align training outcomes with the university's strategic objectives for improved institutional performance.
Leading and Managing Teams:
- Oversee a team of trainers and manage the operations of non-teaching staff training across the university's 38 institutes.
- Cultivate a collaborative environment, providing mentorship and promoting teamwork to deliver effective training programs.
Engagement with Stakeholders:
- Collaborate with deans, department heads, and senior administrators to identify and address training requirements.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure alignment of training initiatives with institutional goals.
Enhancing Non-Teaching Staff Development:
- Organize workshops, seminars, and skill-building sessions designed to enhance the efficiency and productivity of non-teaching staff.
- Introduce innovative methods for improving administrative, operational, and managerial competencies across various staff roles.
Building External Collaborations:
- Partner with external trainers, industry experts, and subject matter specialists to bring fresh insights and expertise to training programs.
- Ensure seamless coordination of collaborative events to maximize their impact on staff development.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Educational Qualifications: Postgraduate degree in MBA (preferably in Human Resource Management or a related field).
- Experience: Minimum 15 years of professional experience in human resource development, training, and team management.
Skill Set:
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proven leadership skills with a track record of managing diverse teams.
- Excellent planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Expertise in designing and delivering training programs tailored to non-teaching staff.
- Familiarity with the challenges of managing a multi-functional workforce in an academic environment is preferred.
