About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled ServiceNow Developer to help enhance and expand our rapidly evolving ServiceNow environment. In addition to ITSM, Security Incident Response (SIR), and Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC), our platform is growing to include robust Configuration Management Database (CMDB), IT Operations Management (ITOM), and IT Asset Management (ITAM) capabilities. As a core member of our ServiceNow team, you will build integrations, automate processes, and design scalable solutions that improve performance, data accuracy, and operational efficiency across the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities:

· Design & Development:

o Configure, customize, and optimize ServiceNow solutions for ITSM, SIR, GRC, CMDB, ITOM, and ITAM modules.

o Develop and maintain custom applications, workflows, scripts, UI policies, and integrations adhering to best practices in coding, performance, and security.

o Leverage REST/SOAP APIs and other integration frameworks to integrate ServiceNow with external systems (e.g., monitoring tools, inventory systems).

· CMDB, ITOM & ITAM Focus:

o Enhance and maintain the CMDB, ensuring accurate configuration data to support ITOM (Event Management, Discovery, Service Mapping) and ITAM workflows.

o Implement data quality controls, reconciliation rules, and automation for populating and maintaining the CMDB, ensuring completeness and accuracy of CI data.

o Integrate ITOM capabilities, such as Discovery and Service Mapping, to enrich the CMDB and improve visibility into infrastructure and service dependencies.

o Support ITAM processes (asset tracking, license management, procurement workflows) by configuring and optimizing asset-related modules to ensure compliance and cost efficiency.

· Platform Administration & Configuration:

o Manage all aspects of the ServiceNow platform, including users, groups, roles, and instance configurations.

o Oversee releases, update sets, and system cloning to maintain platform integrity, performance, and reliability.

o Monitor platform health and ensure adherence to ServiceNow best practices.

· Quality & Compliance:

o Develop and execute test plans, maintaining a high level of quality and reliability across all solutions.

o Adhere to regulatory and compliance standards, leveraging GRC capabilities and frameworks (e.g., ITIL, ISO, NIST) to align processes with internal policies.

· Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:

o Partner with business analysts, architects, and process owners to translate requirements into technical designs and deliver functional, user-friendly solutions.

o Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, providing technical guidance and troubleshooting support.

o Mentor and support junior developers and administrators to foster a high-performing, collaborative environment.

· Documentation & Knowledge Sharing:

o Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including design specs, solution guides, and operational runbooks.

o Contribute to knowledge articles, training materials, and best-practice frameworks that elevate the overall platform skill set within the organization.

Qualifications & Experience:

· Technical Skills:

o Demonstrated experience in ServiceNow development across ITSM, CMDB, ITOM (Discovery, Service Mapping), and ITAM modules.

o Proficiency in JavaScript, Glide scripting, and front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, AngularJS or equivalent frameworks).

o Strong understanding of ServiceNow data models, integration methods (REST, SOAP), and performance optimization techniques.

o Familiarity with ITIL principles and related governance frameworks.

· Certifications (Required):

o ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)

o ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD)

· Certifications (Preferred):

o ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) in ITSM, ITOM, or related areas

· Soft Skills & Work Style:
