We're looking for an ownership driven Embedded Systems Engineer with a background in electronics and 2+ years of experience in the industry to lead some of our Embedded Systems development efforts. In this role the engineer would be performing development activities to include but not limited to hardware schematics, layouts, software architecture design, coding, unit testing, integration, deployment automation and maintenance. The engineer would be working on solutions for electric vehicles and their ecosystems, specifically:

IoT hardware and firmware development
BMS hardware and firmware development

We would prefer candidates from reputed Indian institutes with hands-on experience from the industry developing hardware, applications and firmware for embedded systems. Knowledge of MATLAB, Simulink, Embedded Coder and the Model-based design process would be a plus.

Responsibilities:
Hardware Development:
Hardware architecture design and schematic capture
Component selection with a focus on balancing performance, cost, and availability
Optimizing hardware for cost reduction while maintaining (or improving) performance and features
Exploring alternative components and design techniques for improved reliability and efficiency
Design PCBs, ensure fabrication and assembly of the boards happen without any technical difficulties
Firmware Development
Firmware architecture design & planning
Developing, testing, and optimizing real-time embedded firmware
Writing efficient and scalable C/C++ code
Implementing low-level drivers, communication protocols (CAN, SPI, I2C, UART, etc.), and control algorithms on the application layer

Qualifications:
Have a Strong foundation in hardware and software engineering best practices.
Possess Strong C/C++ /OOP programming skill.
Can write software components from scratch.
Can design, plan and implement system architectures based on requirements shared.
Is able to share system logic understandings with teams of low technical expertise to high technical expertise
Can gather data from tests, noting any discrepancies from expected outcomes and make inferences on the systems behaviour.
Have good comprehension and computational skills
Have experience working with EDA tools
Are good in component selection, schematic capture, PCB design, fabrication, and assembly
Hands-on experience using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and other measurement tools for debugging
Understanding of electromagnetic theory and electrical circuit behavior
Knowledge of signal integrity, power management, and thermal considerations
Strong analytical skills for interpreting device data to identify and resolve issues
An ability to read datasheets
Is not scared of touching a piece of code thinking you might break it
Can over time develop an understanding of what features/improvements can be developed/made
Operate like an RTOS (Are able to switch between tasks ensuring concurrency in your tasks)
