We are looking for a full-time Senior Web Developer who is knowledgeable in Shopify to join our Web Developer team to support our clients and our internal marketing efforts.

The ideal candidate is a creative problem solver who will work in coordination with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain our next-generation websites and web tools. You must be comfortable working as part of a team while taking the initiative to take the lead on new projects.

and commute to our office located at Andheri West, Mumbai-400058 on a regular basis. We appreciate candidates who are based in Mumbai or the Greater Mumbai region and are willing to travel to our office to apply.

What will you do?
As the Lead Web Developer and a Shopify expert, you will be a key member of our technical team, leading a team of skilled Web Developers and overseeing the entire web development process, from conceptualization to implementation. Most importantly, you will be at the forefront of the challenge to design and develop innovative, performant, and user-friendly web applications to meet the needs of our clients and internal teams.

Mandatory Requirements:

Preferably bachelor's in engineering
Minimum 3-5 years of commercial (full-time experience) Web development projects involving Shopify in an agency set-up with excellent UI/UX sensibility are preferred.
You should have proven expertise and experience in end-to-end development and management of websites using the Shopify platform.
Must have 3+ years of experience working with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Proficiency in at least one server-side technology preferably PHP.
The programming language Python is good to have.
Database: MYSQL/MongoDB
Good to know WordPress

Role & Responsibilities

Project Planning and Coordination:

Collaborate with stakeholders such as clients and internal to gather project requirements.
Should be able to convert mock-ups and specifications into complete functional solutions.
Define project objectives, timelines, and resource allocation.

Development and Coding:

Write, test, and debug code for web applications using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or PHP.
Design and implement front-end and back-end architecture, ensuring scalability and performance.
Must debug and test out the websites regularly to enhance the performance.
Work on increasing the conversion rates by periodically optimizing the websites.

Team Leadership:

Lead junior developers by providing mentorship, conducting code reviews, and assisting with complex technical challenges.
Perform code reviews, unit testing, and continuous integration.
Oversee team performance and schedule training sessions to address skill gaps.

Testing and Optimization:

Conduct rigorous testing (functional and non-functional) to ensure quality.
Optimize applications for responsiveness, scalability, and performance through techniques like caching and database indexing.
Updating and modifying the existing websites to enhance the UX/UI design or add new features. Work with the UI and UX design teams to make a creative, strong, and unique user experience.

Client Interaction:

Interpret client specifications, gather feedback, and incorporate changes into projects.
Provide technical support and maintain strong professional relationships with clients.

Documentation:

Maintain up-to-date documentation for all web applications and processes.

Research and Innovation:

Stay updated on emerging technologies like progressive web apps or serverless architecture to integrate new solutions into projects.

Shopify Project:

Act as a Shopify expert, specializing in all facets of the eCommerce platform.
Make knowledgeable and engaging Shopify stores online to increase revenue and sales.
Be a strong hand in installing and customizing new Shopify themes.
Make custom-tailored Shopify themes, and templates and alter pre-existing templates according to the predefined company/clients' guidelines.
They must also know how to test and develop 3rd-party Shopify apps and customize and create Shopify accounts.
Ensure smooth connection with Shopify Apps, Marketing Tools, and Platform APIs.
