Job Description:
We are looking for a Shiny developer to primarily work and support Shiny development across our client base. This position is part of a team and would be responsible for providing technical expertise in project planning, creativity in execution, and communicating progress through regular updates. Experience developing custom JavaScript solutions for Shiny applications is required.
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain reports using Quarto, ensuring integration with Shiny apps and the ability to generate parameterized reports dynamically.
Generate reports in multiple formats, including PDF, PowerPoint, HTML, and Excel, leveraging custom .tex files for advanced formatting for PDF.
Implement advanced graphics and image-processing techniques in R using libraries like ggplot2, Plotly, gt, and flextable for visual data representation.
Utilized export features such as Officer to export reports to PowerPoint and other formats, ensuring compatibility with business requirements.
Collaborate with teams to ensure the seamless generation of interactive reports and dashboards, integrating and working with R libraries like flextable, gt, and others.
Work with RESTful APIs and Shiny Apps to gather and process data for dynamic report generation when required, integrating external data sources into Quarto reports (Nice-to-have)
Requirements:
The R Shiny Developer will have the following skills, experience, and education. A successful candidate will be prepared to present and discuss examples of their work to the hiring manager.
Skills:
Required:
Strong knowledge of LaTeX and the ability to create and modify custom .tex files for report formatting.
Expertise in R programming and fluent in data visualization libraries (ggplot2, Plotly, flextable, gt).
Advanced understanding of R graphics and image processing techniques for report customization.
Familiarity with Shiny apps for report interactivity and customization.
Experience working with export tools such as Officer for PowerPoint or other document export formats.
Preferred:
Experience working with a financial services organization
Able to work in

Experience in R package development

3+ years experience with R programming
3+ years experience with Posit products
Education:
Bachelors or masters degree in any of the following: statistics, data science, computer science, or other data-intensive field.
