Assistant Manager- US Tax-1120

Job Summary:

The primary role of a Assistant Manager is to review moderate to complex tax returns prepared by Associates and Advanced associates. Senior tax associates should foster a collaborative relationship with associates and Managers.

Responsibilities

Display a good level of understanding of basic and moderate tax concepts on partnership and
corporate tax returns, and continuously enhance tax knowledge for associates and advanced
associates through client work and staying up to date with tax developments.
Ensure to have exceptional quality and ensure timely delivery of tasks assigned to associates.
Train and assist associates and advanced associates with their questions on a day-to-day basis.
Assist the team in tax research to develop a deep understanding of tax theory and principles and apply them appropriately on partnership and corporate tax returns to fulfill client requirements.
Enhance teamwork and have the ability to communicate with the teams in India and in the US.
Provide assistance to managers on projects, as requested.
Demonstrate independent judgment and decision-making capabilities when preparing tax returns.
Foster a supportive and collaborative team environment.

Skills Required

Strong written and verbal communication skills
Attention to detail.
Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills and coaching abilities.
Worked on US business tax returns (1065/1120) with complex situations and worked on special allocations, M3 adjustments like prepaid expenses and accruals.
Good knowledge of moderate and complex tax concepts, including forms like 8865, 5471, 5472 and 1116.
Able to manage a team and the team's workflow.

Qualification

Minimum of 5+ years of experience in US Corporate taxation.
