Meet Our Team: The Ad Tech group works on building state-of-the-art Ad technology platforms and services that power the Discovery + and other digital services offered by Discovery globally.

Roles & Responsibilities: You write efficient, readable, testable code units to contribute to the overall functionality of the software. You understand computer science concepts and are passionate about them. You are abreast with the latest in the technology world and are keen to address challenging engineering problems. You communicate through data, dates, and facts, applying them as appropriate to motivate and inspire You are comfortable with scrum agile methodologies, adapting best engineering practices by showing people, not just telling people You are a fast learner and comfortable to change and adapt to a fast-changing environment. What to Bring: 3-5 years of experience as a software developer - Backend Developer Proficient in Java 8, with expertise in utilizing Futures and Streams. Also familiar with Golang and Python. Experience with data streaming or batching services. You have worked on backend service technologies and familiar with building and maintaining large-scale data pipelines. Familiar with CI/CD pipelines, search engine technology (preferably Elasticsearch) Knowledge of, and professional experience with most AWS services, and deeper knowledge of AWS lambda, S3, Kinesis Data streams and DynamoDB. Usage and understanding of Docker and Kubernetes. Experience working within a SAFe Agile team, collaborating with others to build software and iteratively improve it.
