Job Title: Software Product Quality Leader Life & Group Insurance Experience Level: 15+ years of experience, with at least 10+ years in software quality assurance, with 5+ years leading enterprise product testing in life and group insurance. Job Summary: We are seeking a Software Product Quality Leader to drive the testing strategy, automation, and quality assurance for enterprise insurance products. This role will focus on ensuring high-quality product development, end-to-end integration testing, performance and scalability validation, and AI-assisted testing methodologies. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in testing complex enterprise integrations, policy administration systems (PAS), claims platforms, underwriting engines, and insurance data processing workflows. Experience with automated testing, AI-driven test automation, and continuous testing in CI/CD environments is essential. You will collaborate closely with engineering, product management, business analysts, and actuarial teams to implement best-in-class quality practices that ensure the reliability, performance, and scalability of our life and group insurance software solutions. Key Responsibilities: 1. Quality Strategy & Test Management ∙Define and implement the enterprise software testing strategy, covering unit, functional, integration, system, performance, scalability, security, and AI-assisted testing. ∙Establish best practices for automated testing, continuous testing in DevOps pipelines, and shift-left testing approaches. ∙Ensure high-quality software releases by embedding robust test-driven development (TDD), behavior-driven development (BDD), and risk-based testing methodologies. 2. Enterprise Integration & End-to-End Testing ∙Lead complex enterprise integrations testing, validating data flows across policy administration, underwriting, claims, billing, and third-party InsurTech platforms. ∙Define and execute end-to-end test cases for policy lifecycle events, including new business, renewals, claims adjudication, premium billing, commissions, and compliance reporting. ∙Collaborate with business and IT teams to ensure accurate data processing and regulatory compliance. 3. Performance, Scalability & Reliability Testing ∙Develop and execute performance and load testing strategies to validate system scalability and reliability for high-volume transactions. ∙Simulate real-world usage scenarios, including high concurrent user loads, peak claim processing periods, and large-scale policy enrollments. ∙Ensure fault tolerance and disaster recovery validation by conducting failover, resilience, and stress tests. 4. Automated & AI-Assisted Testing ∙Implement and oversee test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Appium, Playwright) to optimize testing efficiency. ∙Leverage AI-driven testing tools for self-healing test automation, intelligent test case generation, and predictive defect analysis. ∙Define automated regression test suites to ensure ongoing stability across policy, claims, underwriting, and billing systems. 5. Security & Compliance Testing ∙Conduct security and compliance testing for data privacy (HIPAA, GDPR), fraud detection, and regulatory reporting in the insurance industry. ∙Ensure secure integrations with third-party InsurTech solutions, reinsurance platforms, and employer benefits systems. ∙Work with cybersecurity teams to validate encryption, access controls, and penetration testing for insurance data platforms. 6. Leadership & Collaboration ∙Partner with engineering, product, actuarial, and business teams to align quality standards with business goals. ∙Foster a culture of quality-first development, promoting continuous improvement in testing processes. ∙Lead and mentor a high-performing quality engineering team, providing guidance on best practices, automation, and AI-driven testing approaches. Key Projects You Will Work On: ∙Automated testing implementation for a next-generation policy administration system in life and group insurance. ∙End-to-end validation of enterprise integrations between PAS, underwriting, billing, claims, and financial systems. ∙Performance and load testing for a large-scale group insurance enrollment platform. ∙AI-assisted testing adoption to improve efficiency in defect detection and test case optimization. ∙Regulatory and compliance testing for life insurance data security and reporting mandates. Required Qualifications: ∙10+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with at least 5 years in enterprise testing for life and group insurance. ∙Expertise in test automation frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, JMeter, LoadRunner, K6). ∙Experience with AI-driven testing tools (e.g., Test.ai, Applitools, Mabl, Functionize) for intelligent automation and defect prediction. ∙Strong understanding of enterprise integration testing, covering API, message queues, ETL, and microservices validation. ∙Hands-on experience in performance, scalability, and reliability testing for high-traffic insurance applications. ∙Familiarity with CI/CD testing automation in DevOps environments (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps). ∙Knowledge of life and group insurance workflows, including underwriting, policy servicing, claims adjudication, and regulatory compliance. Preferred Certifications: ∙ISTQB Certified Test Manager or ISTQB Advanced Test Automation Engineer ∙Certified Cloud Tester (AWS/Azure) ∙AI-Assisted Testing Certifications (e.g., AI in Test Automation by Test Automation University) ∙LOMA Certifications (e.g., FLMI, ALMI, ACS) for insurance domain expertise Soft Skills: ∙Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to design effective test strategies. ∙Excellent collaboration and leadership in cross-functional teams. ∙Passion for continuous innovation in testing and leveraging AI for quality improvements. ∙Ability to balance speed and quality, ensuring rapid deployments without compromising product integrity.
