Reports to: Director of Business Development (Initial), Independently to lead the Storage Division in 1 year's time.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and driven Business Development Manager with expertise in Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in driving the company's growth within the renewable energy and energy storage sectors, focusing on identifying new business opportunities, establishing strategic partnerships, and promoting innovative energy storage solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Market Research & Analysis:
Conduct in-depth market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscapes in the energy storage industry. Provide actionable insights to inform business strategies.
Business Development & Sales:
Identify and develop new business opportunities in BESS for industrial, commercial, and utility-scale projects. Proactively reach out to potential clients, partners, and stakeholders to generate leads and submit the proposals to the Clients.
Customer Relationship Management:
Manage the entire sales lifecycle, from initial contact through project execution, ensuring customer satisfaction and fostering long-term relationships.
Negotiation & Contract Management:
Lead negotiations with customers, partners, and suppliers. Work closely with legal teams to prepare contracts, terms, and conditions, ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
Industry Representation:
Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and forums. Stay informed about industry developments, regulations, and emerging technologies in the energy storage space.
Key Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or related field. Master's degree is a plus.
Experience:
8 -10 years of experience in Renewable energy, out of which at least 2 – 3 years in sales of BESS.
Skills:
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively.
Experience with CRM software and other sales tools.
Other:
Willingness to travel as required.
A network of contacts within the renewable energy and utility sectors is a plus.
