Position Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual with direct tax compliance and global provision experience to join our Finance Operations Shared Service Center in Hyderabad. In this role, this individual will be responsible for understanding the data required for global tax compliance and provision processes, ensuring timely tax filings, performing core calculations and analysis, and enabling process optimization. This role involves close collaboration with global Tax teams and external providers to support efficient and accurate tax activities. Who we're looking for: A professional with 3-5 years of experience in direct tax compliance and tax provision computations, preferably in a shared service center or multinational organization. Foundational knowledge of global tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements. Demonstrated ability to perform detailed tax computations and compliance activities. Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders. Experience in working with third-party outsourced providers and familiarity with financial source systems such as Oracle Cloud and OneSource Tax Provision. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation or a related field. CPA or other relevant professional certification is preferred. Key Responsibilities: Direct Tax Compliance: Support the global direct tax compliance process, ensuring accurate and timely filing of direct tax returns in multiple jurisdictions. Understand and extract key data required for direct tax compliance processes from source systems such as Oracle Cloud. Work closely with Market Tax and/or third-party providers to support timely and accurate data requests for compliance and reporting. Support the filing and submission of direct tax filings Support tax payment process related to tax filings Stay updated on changes in tax regulations and ensure compliance with local direct tax laws in all relevant jurisdictions. Collaborate with GBS Tax Operations Lead, Global Tax Process Lead and Market Tax teams to develop and implement standardized procedures and controls to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the direct tax compliance process. Tax Reporting & Analysis: Support the preparation of income tax provisions and return to provision adjustments. Record journal entries based on the income tax provision results. Perform and review period-end tax account reconciliations. Comfortable dealing with and reviewing large volumes of data. Process Improvement: Regularly review master data to identify changes to incorporate into downstream direct tax reporting processes. Coordinate with resources in the Global Taxation team to support Finance Functional Solutions Tax Lead in updating and maintaining OneSource Tax Provision based on regulatory or business changes. Work with Tax Global Process Lead (GPL) to conduct regular reviews of compliance and reporting processes to identify potential risks and areas for process improvement. Implement standardized procedures and controls to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the direct tax compliance process. Performance & Metrics: Adhere to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to direct tax compliance and reporting. Monitor performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and take proactive measures to meet or exceed targets. Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow processes and ensure timely delivery of services. Communication and Collaboration: Provide guidance and support to internal stakeholders on direct tax matters, including tax planning, audits, and inquiries. Communicate effectively with external tax authorities and auditors during tax audits and inquiries Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Legal, and IT, to ensure alignment and integration of direct tax processes.
