Symbiosis University of Applied Sciences, Indore, is seeking an experienced data science professional to join as a Professor/ Professor of Practice in the School of Data Science.
Eligibility Criteria:
Educational Qualification: Master's Degree/ Ph.D in Data Science, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
Experience:
Minimum 10 years of teaching/ industry experience.
At least 5 years as an Associate Professor post-Ph.D.
Strong research background with publications in Scopus/Web of Science indexed journals.
Experience in guiding Ph.D. scholars and research projects.
Industry experience of 2–3 years (preferred).
Note: For industry professionals, Ph.D. and research experience are not mandatory.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality skill building in Data Science, Machine Learning, AI, Big Data, and related subjects.
Conduct cutting-edge research and publish in reputed journals.
Develop industry-aligned curricula and mentor students for career readiness.
Collaborate on industry-academia partnerships.
Participate in accreditation, academic audits, and policy formulation.
Required Skills:
Expertise in Python, R, SQL, and Data Analytics tools.
Strong knowledge of AI, Deep Learning, Cloud Computing, and Data Engineering.
Excellent mentoring, and communication skills.
Ability to integrate industry trends into academics.
