Purpose / Role

We are looking for a strong

devops

engineer with proven technology experience to be part of a team delivering world class software.

The devops engineer must have a deep understanding of both development and operations processes, as well as a strong technical background.

Key aims and objectives
The

devops

Engineer

is responsible for the smooth operation of a company's IT infrastructure. They work with developers to deploy and manage code changes, and with operations staff to ensure that systems are up and running smoothly.

Specific Responsibilities

●

Understanding customer requirements and project KPIs
●

Implementing various development, testing, automation tools, and IT infrastructure
●

Defining and setting development, test, release, update, and support processes for DevOps operation
●

Monitoring the processes during the entire lifecycle for its adherence and updating or creating new processes for improvement and minimizing the wastage
●

Identifying and deploying cybersecurity measures by continuously performing vulnerability assessment and risk management
●

Coordination and communication within the team and with customers
●

Selecting and deploying appropriate CI/CD tools
●

Implement integrations requested by customers
●

Deploy updates and fixes
●

Build tools to reduce occurrences of errors and improve customer experience
●

Develop software to integrate with internal back-end systems
●

Perform root cause analysis for production errors
●

Investigate and resolve technical issues
●

Develop scripts to automate visualization
●

Design procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance

●

Experience, knowledge and technical skills

●

3+ years of professional experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar software engineering role
●

Experience working on Linux based infrastructure
●

Configuration and managing databases such as MySQL, Mongo, Elasticsearch, Redis
●

Working knowledge of various tools, open-source technologies, and cloud services
●

Knowledge of NodeJS / Ruby / PHP / Python will be an advantage.
●

Understanding in building an Event-Driven Architecture.
●

Have experience in system design & building microservices/SOA architecture.
●

Knowledge of

web, desktop and mobile applications.
●

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
●

The ability to form strong relationships with internal teams.
●

The ability to prioritize and remain calm under pressure
●

Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, business, or a related field
●

The ability to own end to end responsibility - right from the requirement to release.
●

Experience working for early-stage and late-stage startups preferred
