Overview:
As we continue to grow, we are looking for an experienced and strategic Pricing Lead/ Manager to oversee pricing strategies and execution across key FMCG categories on our noon Core and Supermall platforms. As the Pricing Lead/ Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving competitive and profitable pricing strategies for FMCG categories, including grocery, supermarket HPC brands, and pets & baby consumables. You will work across three key business models—Retail, Partnership, and Marketplace—to ensure pricing alignment and optimization that enhances customer acquisition, retention, and sales growth. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver data-driven insights and recommendations to ensure pricing strategies are competitive, dynamic, and aligned with market trends.
Key Responsibilities:
Retail Model Pricing Strategy (Collaboration with the Minutes Team):
Develop and execute dynamic pricing strategies for FMCG products sold through the retail model in collaboration with the Minutes Team.
Monitor pricing trends, competitor activity, and market demand to ensure competitive positioning and optimal margin management.
Regularly update and optimize pricing based on real-time market analysis to drive sales and profitability.
FMCG Category Pricing Optimization:
Own the pricing strategy for key FMCG categories (grocery, supermarket HPC, pets & baby consumables), ensuring it is aligned with overall commercial objectives and customer expectations.
Utilize analytics and market data to identify pricing opportunities and gaps, recommending adjustments that maximize profitability.
Partner with the marketing, merchandising, and operations teams to ensure that promotional pricing, bundling, and discounts are executed effectively.
Competitive and Market Intelligence:
Continuously analyze competitor pricing, market conditions, and customer behavior to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for competitive pricing.
Provide actionable insights to senior leadership and other teams on pricing adjustments and market positioning.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with merchandising, marketing, and sales teams to align on pricing strategies for key promotions and product launches.
Collaborate with the finance team to ensure pricing strategies are aligned with revenue and margin goals.
Reporting and Analysis:
Provide detailed pricing performance reports and insights to key stakeholders.
Monitor the impact of pricing changes on sales performance, margin, and overall business objectives.
Use data and analytics to refine pricing strategies and ensure continuous optimization.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field (MBA preferred).
Experience in pricing, financial analysis, or a related role within e-commerce, FMCG, or retail.
Deep understanding of FMCG categories and pricing dynamics within these markets.
Proven experience in pricing strategy development and implementation across multiple business models (Retail, Partnership, and Marketplace).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a deep understanding of pricing optimization tools and techniques.
Exceptional communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Proficiency in pricing software, data analytics tools, and Microsoft Excel (advanced).
