Job Title: Shopify Developer- The Bear House Location: MG Road Bangalore Job Type: Full-time About Us: We are a fast-growing clothing brand looking to expand our online presence. We are looking for a talented and experienced Shopify Developer to help create, manage, and optimize our eCommerce website. Our goal is to deliver a seamless, user-friendly online shopping experience for our customers and maintain a beautiful, functional online store that reflects our brand's vision and values. Position Overview: As a Shopify Developer for our clothing brand, you will be responsible for the development, customization, and maintenance of our Shopify store. You will work closely with our design, marketing, and product teams to ensure the store offers an optimal user experience, is mobile-responsive, visually appealing, and performs efficiently. Your role will be critical in making sure our online store functions smoothly, supports the brand's goals, and keeps up with the latest industry trends and technologies. Key Responsibilities: Shopify Store Setup & Customization: Set up, configure, and launch the Shopify store, ensuring all necessary settings (payment gateways, shipping methods, taxes) are correctly configured. Customize themes and build unique, branded designs that match the clothing brand's aesthetics using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Develop custom functionality, features, and integrations to meet the needs of the business and enhance customer experience. E-commerce Site Management: Regularly update the online store with new product launches, seasonal collections, and promotions. Optimize product pages and categories to improve conversion rates, ensuring detailed descriptions, high-quality images, and SEO best practices are in place. Implement smooth and secure checkout processes to minimize cart abandonment and enhance the user experience. User Experience (UX) & Performance Optimization: Work closely with design and marketing teams to implement a visually appealing, user-friendly, and mobile-responsive website. Optimize the performance of the website, ensuring fast load times and seamless browsing on all devices. Conduct A/B testing and analytics to improve the store's user interface, navigation, and conversion paths. Integrations & Custom Apps: Integrate third-party apps and services such as email marketing, product review systems, payment solutions, and customer support tools. Develop custom apps when necessary to provide specific functionality for our clothing store. SEO & Digital Marketing Support: Implement and maintain SEO best practices to ensure the site ranks highly on search engines. Collaborate with the marketing team to implement promotional campaigns and discounts that drive sales. Maintenance & Updates: Regularly maintain the Shopify store to ensure it remains secure, up-to-date, and free of bugs. Apply platform and security updates to prevent issues and maintain smooth operation. Troubleshooting & Support: Provide ongoing technical support for any issues that arise with the website. Troubleshoot and resolve site-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime. Analytics & Reporting: Monitor key metrics such as traffic, sales, and customer behavior, providing actionable insights to improve site performance. Work with the team to implement and refine strategies to boost sales and customer retention. Required Skills and Qualifications: Proven experience developing and maintaining Shopify stores (preferably for eCommerce brands, especially clothing or fashion). Strong proficiency in Shopify Liquid, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and API integrations. Experience with Shopify themes and customizing templates to match brand identity. Knowledge of SEO best practices for eCommerce websites. Familiarity with Shopify Apps, plugins, and integrations (e.g., payment gateways, email marketing tools, CRM). Experience in optimizing site performance and mobile responsiveness. Strong understanding of eCommerce design principles and UX/UI best practices. Familiarity with Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and other tracking/analytics tools. Experience working with version control systems (e.g., Git) is a plus. Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Shopify Plus is a plus. Familiarity with Shopify's Shopify Scripts for customizing checkout and cart experience. Knowledge of integrating Shopify with other platforms like ERP systems, CRM, or social media.
