Position Overview: We are seeking a talented and motivated Junior FPGA Engineer to join our team. This position offers an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or individuals with up to one year of experience to gain valuable hands-on experience in FPGA development and optimization for ultra-low-latency trading systems. Responsibilities: Assist in the design, development, and optimization of FPGA-based trading solutions for ultra-low-latency execution in high-frequency trading environments. Work closely with senior FPGA engineers to understand requirements and contribute to the implementation of efficient FPGA designs. Participate in FPGA architecture exploration, design partitioning, and performance analysis under the guidance of experienced team members. Support the testing and validation of FPGA designs to ensure correctness, robustness, and compliance with functional and performance requirements. Collaborate with software engineers, traders, and quantitative analysts to integrate FPGA-based solutions into trading algorithms, order management systems, and market data processing pipelines. Contribute to the continuous monitoring and optimization of FPGA-based trading systems to maintain peak performance and address latency bottlenecks or inefficiencies. Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field. Strong academic background with coursework or projects in FPGA development using Verilog or VHDL. Basic understanding of FPGA architecture, constraints, and synthesis tools. Familiarity with high-level synthesis (HLS) tools and FPGA development frameworks such as Vivado, Quartus, or Libero. Knowledge of computer architecture, digital signal processing (DSP), and parallel computing concepts. Interest in low-latency, high-performance computing systems, particularly in the context of financial trading or electronic trading platforms. Excellent problem-solving skills and a passion for technology and innovation. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Preferred Qualifications: Internship or project experience involving FPGA development or hardware design. Exposure to electronic trading protocols and exchange connectivity protocols (e.g., FIX, FAST, ITCH). Knowledge of low-level programming languages such as C/C++ and experience with software-hardware co-design. Familiarity with network protocols, network stack optimization, and high-speed data transmission technologies (e.g., 10/25/40/100 GbE). Previous exposure to the high-frequency trading (HFT) industry or algorithmic trading.
