Job Summary
The Application Support Analyst 1 plays a critical role in providing technical leadership and support for APEX's apexportal Solutions software applications. This individual will interact with clients, identify, troubleshoot, and address support tickets while possessing a broad IT background.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and resolve technical support tickets.
- Partner with Product Manager and R&D teams to prioritize support tickets.
- Foster effective communication with internal and external customers.
- Test product-level functionality and new releases, identifying areas for improvement.
- Serve as the technical expert for client software implementations.
- Manage software upgrades on scheduled dates.
- Act as primary contact for client's IT department.
- Troubleshoot network, database, and software problems for client implementations.
- Configure system settings and execute unit/integration/acceptance testing.
- Create rules and data transfer mappings using SQL queries.
- Present technical overviews of apexportal Solutions software applications and technical requirements to clients during planning upgrades.
- Manage setup of technical environment for hosted clients.
- Lead testing of interfaces, reconciling data between clients' ERP systems and apexportal Solutions software applications.
- Collaborate with Help Desk personnel to resolve client installation issues.
Candidate Requirements
- Demonstrated working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
- Experience with SQL Server, including data definition, manipulation, control, and transactional control, administration, development, and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of FTP, secure FTP, and PGP.
- Familiarity with Command Prompt and its commands.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- Experience in or exposure to Accounts Payable applications in ERP systems such as PeopleSoft, SAP, Oracle, or J.D. Edwards.
- Customer-facing experience with large customers.
- 1-2 years of experience in SQL.
