Facilities Engineering Manager

Responsibilities:
1. Leadership and Team Management:
- Lead and manage the MEP engineering team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and technical support to team members.
2. Project Planning and Execution:
- Oversee the planning, design, and implementation of MEP systems for new construction and renovation projects.
- Ensure projects are completed within scope, budget, and schedule constraints.
3. System Design and Integration:
- Collaborate with architects and other engineering disciplines to develop comprehensive MEP designs.
- Integrate MEP systems seamlessly with IT infrastructure and other building systems.
4. Quality Assurance:
- Establish and enforce quality control standards for MEP design and installation.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with industry codes and standards.
5. Budgeting and Cost Control:
- Develop and manage budgets for MEP projects, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality.
6. Vendor Management:
- Select and manage relationships with MEP contractors, suppliers, and consultants.
- Negotiate contracts and ensure vendors adhere to project timelines and specifications.
7. Regulatory Compliance:
- Stay abreast of local, national, and international codes and regulations related to MEP systems.
- Ensure company projects comply with all relevant standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering field.
- Proven experience in MEP engineering management, preferably in the IT industry.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification is desirable.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong leadership and project management skills.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, or other MEP design software.
- In-depth knowledge of MEP systems, codes, and standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to solve complex engineering problems and make informed decisions.
