The Senior Data Security Analyst will be responsible for ensuring the security and integrity of our companys data and data systems. This role involves monitoring, analyzing, and protecting against unauthorized access, cyber threats, and data breaches. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of security protocols, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to stay current with the latest security trends and threats.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and analyze security alerts and reports to identify potential security incidents.
  • Implement and maintain security measures and controls to protect sensitive data.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and threat modeling to identify security weaknesses.
  • Develop and enforce data security policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Investigate security breaches and incidents to determine root causes and assist with implementing corrective actions.
  • Provide on-call support.
  • Collaborate enterprise-wide to ensure security measures are integrated into all systems and processes.
  • Experience implementing, monitoring, and supporting CASB solutions.
  • Identify and implement automation opportunities to improve efficiencies.
  • Stay up to date with the latest security trends, threats, and technology solutions.
  • Assist in the development and delivery of security awareness training if needed.
  • Prepare and present regular security effectiveness reports to management.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant security regulations and standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS).
  • Mentoring Peers and may required to perform duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in data security, information security, or a related role.
  • Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ are highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of security frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
  • Experience with security tools and technologies such as SIEM, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and encryption.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with cloud security (Azure, GCP, OCI).
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance.
  • Understanding of network and system administration.
