Documentation & Drawing Production:
  • Generate detailed drawings, plans, and sections from the BIM model for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and firefighting systems.
  • Produce accurate schedules and quantities for MEPF components and equipment.
  • Assist in preparing construction documents and ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.
Quality Control & Compliance:

  • Review models for compliance with industry standards and best practices, such as LOD (Level of Detail) and LOI (Level of Information).
Project Coordination & Management:
  • Work closely with project teams, including MEP engineers and contractors, to communicate design intent and resolve modeling issues.
  • Assist in managing and updating project BIM standards, templates, and libraries.
Clash Detection & Conflict Resolution:
  • Conduct regular clash detection and coordinate with other disciplines to resolve any design conflicts.
  • Provide input during the design phase to anticipate and mitigate potential issues during construction.
Data Management:
  • Maintain and manage the BIM data throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure that MEPF models are regularly updated and aligned with the latest project information.
Collaboration with Site Teams:
  • Support the construction team by providing as-built drawings and 3D models for on-site use.
  • Provide technical support to ensure that on-site construction aligns with the coordinated MEPF models.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or a related engineering field.
  • Proficiency in BIM software such as Revit, AutoCAD MEP, Navisworks, or similar tools.
  • Strong understanding of MEPF systems (mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and firefighting) and their coordination in construction projects.
  • Experience in clash detection and model coordination using Navisworks or similar tools.
  • Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Knowledge of BIM standards (e.g., LOD, COBie, IFC) and local building codes and regulations.
  • Good communication and collaboration skills to work with multi-disciplinary teams.
Experience:
  • 2-4 years of experience in BIM modeling, specifically in MEPF systems, in the AEC (Architecture, Engineering, and Construction) industry.
Additional Qualifications:
  • Experience working on large-scale commercial, residential, or industrial projects.
  • Familiarity with international BIM standards such as ISO 19650.
  • Certification in BIM (optional but a plus).
