Senior PHP Laravel Backend Engineer / ERP Architect – Scalable ERP & Microservices

About the Role
We are looking for 2 highly experienced and technically strong PHP Laravel professionals who have hands-on experience developing large, highly scalable ERP systems and microservices-based applications. For this position, we are not primarily evaluating candidates based on the number of years of experience. Our primary focus is on the quality, scale, complexity, architecture, and ownership of the projects the candidate has actually developed. The ideal candidate should have worked on multiple enterprise-grade ERP projects, preferably 7–8 or more substantial ERP implementations/products, and should have hands-on experience in designing and developing scalable Laravel applications and microservices architectures. This is a hands-on technical role. We are looking for someone who can understand complex business processes, design the backend architecture, develop scalable APIs, optimize databases, and contribute to the technical architecture of large ERP systems. What We Are Looking For-Must-Have Project Experience Strong hands-on experience in developing large-scale and highly scalable ERP systems. Candidate should have worked on multiple ERP projects/products, ideally 7–8 or more substantial ERP implementations. Experience should be demonstrated through actual projects delivered, not only through duration of employment. Strong experience in Microservices Architecture and distributed application development. Hands-on experience developing Microservices using PHP Laravel / Laravel ecosystem. Strong experience in designing and developing RESTful APIs and backend services. Experience in developing modular, scalable and maintainable ERP architectures. Strong understanding of complex ERP business workflows, role-based systems, approvals, transactions, reporting, inventory, finance, HR, procurement, sales, etc. Experience working with high-volume data, multiple users, multiple branches/sites/stores/business units, or similarly complex enterprise environments. Technical Skills — Mandatory PHP – Advanced Laravel – Advanced / Strong REST API Development Microservices Architecture My SQL / Relational Database Design Database optimization and query optimization Authentication, authorization and role-based access control API integration and third-party integrations Backend architecture and system design Git / Version Control Debugging, performance optimization and scalability Background jobs, queues, caching and asynchronous processing Error handling, logging and monitoring Understanding of application security and secure API development Strongly Preferred Experience breaking a monolithic ERP/application into microservices. Experience designing service-to-service communication and API-based architectures. Experience with Redis, queues, caching and event-driven processing. Experience with Docker / containerized deployments. Experience with AWS / Azure / GCP or similar cloud environments. Experience with CI/CD and deployment pipelines. Experience handling large datasets and performance-intensive ERP modules. Experience working with distributed systems and third-party integrations. Familiarity with React.js, Vue.js or another modern frontend framework is an added advantage. ERP Experience Is the Primary Evaluation Criteria We are particularly interested in candidates who have worked on ERP systems involving areas such as: Finance & Accounting | Procurement | Inventory | Purchase | Sales | Warehouse | HRMS | Payroll | CRM | Projects | Manufacturing | Supply Chain | Multi-branch Operations | Multi-company Operations | Approval Workflows Experience in Retail ERP, Manufacturing ERP, Construction/Project ERP, Supply Chain ERP, HRMS/Payroll ERP or other enterprise ERP platforms will be highly relevant.
