Job Title: Senior Manager / Director : Direct tax litigation Location: Gurugram / Hyderabad Mode of Work: Work from Office Experience: Eight years post CA qualification in a client facing service/consulting industry Job Description: Strategizing tax litigation Need a candidate who has handled complex direct tax litigation across all forums including briefing to Senior advocates for HC and SC as well. Explore alternative tax dispute resolution avenues. Representations before the AO, TPO, CIT(A), DRP and Income Tax Appellate Tribunal (ITAT). Holds knowledge of Transfer pricing provisions covering litigation and compliances Leading in preparation of advance ruling application and provide support for representation before the Authority for Advance Ruling Leading in drafting and presenting applications to the competent authority for Mutual Agreement Procedure (MAP) under the tax treaties. Ability to independently analyze and interpret provisions under the Income Tax Act and provisions pertaining to International Tax, dealing with interpretation of Tax Treaties. Thorough knowledge of Direct Tax, Corporate Tax (Income Tax & DTAA). Updating clients on on-going matters on a prompt and regular basis, keeping track of industry developments. Working knowledge and experience in Search and Seizure, Re-assessment proceedings and proceedings under the Black Money Act are an added advantage.
