Shark Ninja is expanding our APAC business and scaling it rapidly.
Our two brands, Shark, and Ninja, have enjoyed unprecedented growth in the past 5 years, driven mainly by the very strong innovation pipeline on both brands.
Given this success in our existing markets, Shark Ninja has embarked on a bold plan for growing APAC business, in which APAC plays a critical role.
As we continue to grow, we are looking for an Operations Manager to join our team.
This role will be based in Bangalore, India.
Position Overview: Reporting to the Managing Director, India & dotted line to the APAC Operations Director in Singapore, the successful candidate will partner with distributors, local and regional stakeholders to ensure the delivery of reliable and sustained service levels at the lowest possible cost.
They will demonstrate strong communication skills, influencing skills, and analytical skills.
They will be motivated by a fast-paced high growth environment that requires agility and flexibility and adaptability to enable ongoing growth of the Indian business.
Here are some of the exciting things you'll get to do: Establish the initial logistics, planning and customer service processes, systems and measures to enable delivery of 2025 launch business and financial objectives.
Call out gaps in operational systems, organization and processes where additional resources or support is needed to support the rapid scaling of the Indian business as it grows and transforms.
Make recommendations for solutions and participate in executing agreed improvements actions.
Map out the inbound and outbound operations flows by channel from source to point of delivery.
Establish an order tracking system and connect with source supply chain teams to ensure on time collection of shipments from plant and departures from origin port.
Establish planning processes that enable rolling 13 month demand plans and next 6 month planning of source PO's and planned source PO's (PPO).
Establish a Purchases, Sales, Inventory (PSI) tracking system to enable validation of new PO's.
Establish a regular meeting with external partners to review PSI data and future purchase plans Establish then manage the Indian operations metrics, to ensure ongoing competitive cost to serve and driving ongoing improvement in productivity, cost management and service levels to customers and consumers Propose and execute Indian operations improvement projects using business case justification, risk management and achievable timelines.
Closely monitor execution progress and escalate issues as they arise.
Monitor developments, trends and changes within the Indian supply chain environments that may harm or benefit delivery of Indian service levels, cost to serve or ability to operate, partnering with cross function stakeholders to develop appropriate measured and timely operational responses PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE The ideal candidate will be a Supply Chain or Operations professional with at least 10 years operations experience across all functional areas of Indian operations within a fast-paced, B2 B and DTC/B2 B electrical appliance or similar value chain.
This leader must have proven ability in partnering with and influencing cross functional internal and external stakeholders to achieve business objectives.
Most importantly, this individual must be able to flex between operations roles and fulfill the hands-on requirements of this position with a flexible working style aligned to the Shark Ninja culture.
Ideally, this leader will bring: Broad experience in Indian logistics, planning and meeting B2 B delivery requirements in retail, online and FMCG sectors.
In particular experience dealing with Indian distributor businesses.
A strong knowledge of operations systems including Oracle ERP, WMS, EDI, OMS/Middleware Ability to solve complex problems in a short term, with an ability to evolve those initial solves into long term operational practice "Can do" attitude to solving supply chain challenges, future proofing and de-risking physical flows from source to customer/consumer Understanding of the physical flows and activities from Asian/indian sources to Indian DC and DC to customer and consumer Strong analytical skills to develop, measure and improve key performance indicators, identifying root cause of deviations and taking fast and effective corrective action – monitor outcomes to ensure improvements continue to deliver results An ability to lead and develop colleagues in an engaging, inclusive and results oriented style that will support the team through the challenges of rapid growth Ability to work in a dynamic, fun, fast-paced market and regional environment.
An ability to build effective long-term relationships at all levels, internally and externally, and going the extra mile for customers that drive desired outcomes to short term and strategic topics EDUCATION and OTHER SKILLS An operations degree or MBA with logistics or supply chain specialization Superior ability to communicate for impact, both verbally and in writing; ability to adjust communication and style depending on audience.
Ability to assemble business case supported proposals for proposed expansion activities or future resource requirements Strong project management skills with a focus on clearly stating the "as-is" and "to-be" condition, execution and early escalation of risks or gaps that enable stakeholders to help drive faster problem resolution Champion opportunities to drive customer and consumer excellence through robust and consistent operational solutions and projects Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, operations, analytics, and technology to ensure successful program execution.
