Lead Urban Designer

In this role, you will be pivotal in ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality design solutions.
Work Location: Gurgaon, India Responsibilities· Provide technical leadership in managing the day-to-day operations of the design studio, including resource allocation, project scheduling, and budget management.· Lead and mentor a team of designers, providing guidance, support, and leadership to ensure the successful execution of projects.· Manage design projects from inception to completion, overseeing all phases of project development, including conceptual design, design development, and construction documentation.· Ensure the quality control and assurance of design deliverables, conducting regular design reviews and providing feedback to ensure compliance with project requirements and standards.· Provide design leadership and direction, guiding the team in developing innovative design solutions that meet client objectives and exceed expectations.· Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to establish project goals, objectives, and design criteria, ensuring alignment with client needs and project requirements.· Represent AE7 in client meetings, presentations, and industry events, showcasing our capabilities and expertise in design and project management.· Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging design and project management technologies, incorporating new ideas and methodologies into studio operations.· Willingness to travel as needed for project meetings and site visits.
Qualifications· Bachelor's and master's degree in Urban Design or related field.· Minimum of 10+ years of professional experience in masterplanning, with a proven track record of leading and managing design teams on complex projects.· Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and mentor team members.· Proficiency in design software such as Auto CAD, Sketch Up, Adobe Creative Suite, and project management tools.· Comprehensive understanding of international benchmarks, best practices, planning policies, construction techniques, and building codes and regulations.· Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting project deadlines and budgetary requirements.· Experience working in a multi-disciplinary design firm or architectural practice is preferred.· Exposure to projects in the Middle East or relevant international experience is preferred.
