Job Title: Senior Linux Administrator Experience Required: 5–8 Years Work Location: Hyderabad ( Work From Office) Shift: 24/7 rotational shift Job Summary: We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Senior Linux Administrator to manage and support enterprise-scale Linux environments across multiple distributions including Red Hat, SUSE, Ubuntu, Cent OS, Rocky, and Alma Linux.
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in system administration, automation, clustering, and container technologies.
Primary Responsibilities: Administer and maintain various Linux distributions: RHEL, SUSE, Ubuntu, Cent OS, Rocky Linux, Alma Linux Implement and manage Pacemaker High Availability (HA) Clusters Perform patch management .
Create and manage partitions, LVMs , and mount file systems Configure and manage yum repositories , perform kernel upgrades and minor OS version updates Troubleshoot Linux servers running on virtual platforms Perform scheduled operations such as log rotation , cron job management, and automated tasks Monitor and tune server performance , analyze logs and resolve performance bottlenecks Apply ITIL best practices in incident, request, problem, and change management Configure and secure systems using iptables , TCP wrappers , and host-level firewall settings Install and configure services: FTP, Samba, NFS (server/client), DNS, LDAP Manage DNS entries and host records using DNS portals Automate tasks using Shell Scripting and Ansible Playbooks Perform system backups using tar, rsync, scp, gzip, etc.
Work in 24/7 support model , primarily during North America shifts Prepare incident reports (IRs) and root cause analysis documentation Support project build and BAU operations for large-scale infrastructure Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field 4–8 years of hands-on Linux system administration experience Strong understanding of Linux internals , system boot process, runlevels, and systemd Experience in Pacemaker cluster setup and troubleshooting Scripting expertise in Bash/Shell.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for infrastructure and application issues Good verbal and written communication skills Willingness to work in rotational shifts .
Preferred Certifications: Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) / Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) SUSE Certified Administrator (SCA)
