We are seeking an experienced SRE DBA to join our dynamic team.
This hybrid role blends deep database administration expertise with site reliability engineering practices.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring high availability, performance, and scalability of our database systems while driving automation and infrastructure improvements.
Key Responsibilities: Design, deploy, manage, and maintain relational databases (preferably My SQL or Postgre SQL ) in cloud-native environments.
Develop and maintain automated scripts and tools for database provisioning, monitoring, backups, scaling, and recovery.
Implement and support Kubernetes-based deployments for stateful workloads including database containers.
Optimize database performance including indexing, query tuning, and capacity planning.
Work on infrastructure as code (Ia C) for database deployment and management using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Helm.
Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure database reliability, scalability, and observability.
Perform proactive monitoring and alerting for database health, using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack.
Participate in on-call rotations and incident response for database-related issues.
Required Skills & Experience: 5+ years of experience as a SRE DBA with Database administration skills.
Strong hands-on experience with My SQL or Postgre SQL in production environments.
Experience working with Kubernetes , especially managing stateful applications in containers.
Proficiency in scripting and automation using languages such as Python, Bash, or Go.
Experience with automation tools like Ansible, Terraform, Helm, or similar.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
