Vivriti Asset Management: A fixed-income fund manager, managing multiple Alternative Investment Funds (AIFs).
With over USD 550 million in commitments from 900+ institutional and private contributors, Vivriti AMC has invested more than USD 600 million across 90+ entities.
Role : Lead - Taxation Location : Chennai Mode : Work from Office About the Role As a team member the individual will be responsible to manage and support the tax & regulatory function of the Company.
The individual will be responsible for ensuring all the necessary compliances in the area of taxation i.e., Direct & Indirect.
The individual will also be responsible for managing the overseas taxation.
Key Responsibilities Involving in the ideation of business models including product structures which are conceived by different teams across the AIF and the NBFC arms of the Group.
Framing internal opinions / views on tax positions which are taken by the Company.
Setting up / refining processes around direct taxation and indirect taxation related compliances; End to end responsibility of book-keeping.
Tracking of litigations and deciding the course of actions to be taken by the Company.
Preparation of basis / grounds for litigations with authorities.
Front ending discussions with the tax consultants in connection with litigations and historical tax positions which have been taken by Company.
Managing direct and indirect tax audits and returns filing related administrative and operational aspects.
Responsibility / Ownership over financial information / book-keeping records in conjunction with the tax positions.
Responsible to manage a team of two people to ensure delivery across all above responsibilities.
Keen to learn tax and put into practice tax laws related to countries like Singapore etc.

Qualifications & Skills Required: CA with 2+ years of post qualification experience in the field of taxation with strong analytical skills.
In-depth knowledge of corporate income tax, indirect tax, accounting and transfer pricing.
The candidate must have worked in a Multinational Company or possess industry knowledge.
Candidates working or has worked in Big4 accounting firms would also be considered.
Exceptional interpersonal skills to collaborate across teams, stakeholders across geographies.
Excellent communication and problem-solving mindset.
A hands-on approach with attention to details.
