Job Title: Azure Dev Ops & Cloud Migration Specialist Location: Remote Assignment Duration: Long Term Project Daily Rate: Competitive Language Requirement: English (C1 level – mandatory) Start Date: ASAP Contract Type: Freelance Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled Azure Dev Ops & Cloud Migration Specialist to support the technical execution of project migrations from a self-managed Azure Dev Ops (ADO) environment to a centrally governed CCo E (Cloud Centre of Excellence) structure.
This role also includes supporting cloud resource migrations (GALZ Project) into secure landing zones as per the client's compliance and governance standards.
This is a hands on technical role focused entirely on execution and troubleshooting, not project management or governance.
You will work closely with internal client teams to carry out migration activities with a strong emphasis on security, minimal downtime, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities Execute migrations of Azure Dev Ops projects, repositories, pipelines, service connections, and associated CI/CD components.
Manage ADO permissions, security groups, and policy alignment during migration.
Provide technical input on improving CI/CD structures in line with Dev Sec Ops best practices.
Support cloud resource migrations for the GALZ project, including: Virtual machines (VMs) Storage accounts Networking components Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to service principals (SPNs), pipelines, and interdependencies.
Ensure all migration activities adhere to security and compliance policies with minimal disruption.
Collaborate with stakeholders and technical teams to ensure smooth execution.
Create and maintain clear documentation for migrated assets and procedures.
Required Skills & Experience 5–7 years of experience in Azure Dev Ops administration and cloud infrastructure.
Proven experience in migrating Azure Dev Ops environments, including deep knowledge of: Service connections Pipelines SPNs and permissions Hands-on experience with Azure cloud migrations – compute, storage, and network services.
Strong understanding of CI/CD processes, Dev Sec Ops, and best practices.
Familiarity with large enterprise or regulated environments.
Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
Ability to follow structured plans and procedures while offering technical improvements when needed.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, compliance-focused environment.
Required Certifications & Qualifications Relevant Azure and Dev Ops certifications (e.g., Azure Dev Ops Engineer Expert, Azure Administrator Associate).
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred).
Language Requirements English: C1 level (spoken and written) – mandatory, for regular client interactions and reporting.
