Senior Engineer (Gen AI & Prompt Engineering) | XebiaWe are looking for a highly experienced Gen AI Engineer with deep expertise in Prompt Engineering, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and Vector Search Systems to integrate Gen AI into our engineering & Dev Ops ecosystem.This is a contractor role where you will design intelligent assistants & agents to augment CI/CD workflows, knowledge retrieval, incident handling, and developer productivity using LLMs, Python, and NLP pipelines.???? Key ResponsibilitiesDesign & optimize prompts for LLM workflows ensuring accuracy & relevanceBuild RAG pipelines using vector DBs (FAISS, Pinecone, Weaviate, Qdrant)Integrate LLMs into internal tools, CI/CD & observability dashboardsImplement Gen AI solutions using Lang Chain, Llama Index, Haystack, Hugging Face etc.Fine-tune open-source/commercial LLMs (Open AI, Claude, Cohere, Mistral) for domain use casesCollaborate with Dev Ops & platform teams to drive automation with Gen AIEnsure data privacy, governance & ethical AI practices Required Skills6–10+ years in engineering, with 2+ years hands-on in Gen AI/LLMs/NLPStrong Python skills with experience in Lang Chain, Hugging Face, Llama IndexDeep knowledge of vector databases & embeddingsProven experience designing & deploying RAG architecturesExperience integrating LLM APIs (Open AI, Azure Open AI, Claude, etc.)????
